Who is Matt ?
I have been working in the property industry in Peterborough and surrounding districts since 2004 and I have been a qualified surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer since 2017. Over that time, I have built up a wealth of experience and knowledge and had a proven track record of success in the corporate residential surveying sector having worked as a panel surveyor for some of the country’s biggest mortgage lenders before starting Hill Home Survey.
I understand the unique characteristics and potential issues of properties in our area and I now want to bring my knowledge and enthusiasm to help those buyers and sellers, who would prefer the more personalised service that an independent surveyor can offer.I understand that the property buying process can be stressful and time-sensitive. I pride myself on providing prompt service without compromising quality, ensuring you receive your survey and valuation results as quickly as possible. I take the time to listen to your concerns and can tailor my services to meet your specific needs. My promise is not to confuse you with excessive jargon. You’ll receive a clear, easy-to-understand report, along with direct access to me for any questions or clarifications once you have read the report.
Outside of my work life, I am the father to two older-teenage children. I play golf regularly; I am a member at Elton Furze Golf Club located towards Oundle, and I have represented Elton Furze in various inter-club matches. I am a football fan and a Liverpool supporter having been born in that part of the world, but I can often be found on the London Road terrace watching Peterborough United. Away from sport, I like movies, meals out, socialising with friends and competing in pub quizzes. Those who know me will remember the virtual quiz nights I hosted during the Covid lockdowns.

I was very pleased with the prompt, thorough response to my enquiry. The survey was organised very quickly and the report came back highlighting the areas in the property that needed attention and might incur extra cost. The written report was followed up by a telephone conversation to make sure I had the answers to any questions that arisen from reading the report.
